Mum and Dad....

A series of recent images...

A week before young Molly was born we did this series of photo's for Mum (Kristi) and Dad (Chris). It was a real pleasure to do these images for a great couple and I am humbled by the opportunity to be part of their special moment, capturing a very important memory. I hope they love the images as much as young Molly.
From a photographic perspective, most of the image where shot with natural light... except for the two black and white images. These were shot under continous light source.

A lovers interlude...

An opportunity to photograph one of Perth's finest fashion photographers and Meg at Hyde Park resulted in these fine images. The last one is my favourite. Gorgeous light on a lovely couple.

Milan update #10

I forgot to mention, but Paul got an Xmas pressie this year of a new, yes Nikon, camera.  Its a great compact camera as you can all see.  Its sensor, for the geeks, is 14MP... and yes that is larger than my SLR :D

The new camera also has a high speed mode which the boy put to the test by shooting these trams in the middle of Milan!  The things you see.... I recon Perth needs something like this!

:D

Thats the Milan trip over and done with... 2 days, 4 with travel... and he's back... but like the Indiana Jones Movies, where is he off to next!

Milan update #6

So the meeting functions where held in the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinici.

From the museum .... founded in 1953, we are now the largest science and technology museum in Italy.

The Museum is housed in an early 16th century Olivetan monastery and is named after Leonardo da Vinci, the extraordinary Renaissance intellect who mastered art, science and technology. Through the years we have collected and exhibited objects, machinery and evidence that retrace the key phases of our country’s scientific and technological evolution.
The educational activities developed in our collections and interactive labs (i.labs) engage visitors in exciting experiences that lead to the discovery and exploration of science. Our aim is to help people develop an interest in technology, share a passion for science and discover the fascinating nature of the past. We are a centre for debate and research, a lively meeting place and an active laboratory where innovative cultural projects and management methodologies are constantly investigated.

Milan update #3

So out and about.  He arrived first thing in the morning, and had a few hours to kill before the meeting started.

He grabbed the other lads and went into town for a coffee and a look around the main square.

Here, the main square and the local Cathedral, which had its first stone laid in 1386.

A quick trip to Washington part 4

Well, and finally for a four day trip (incl two days flying) he managed also to get the United States Capitol in, well a pic at least.  Construction commenced in 1793, at a cost of $412,000.  The building and grounds cover over 270 acres, and is the seat of government of the USA.

And of course, as sci-fi, techno, geeks... and general X-files fans, you need a pic of the famous FBI building.  Just need to see if Muldy and Scully are in...

A quick trip to Washington part 2

So one of the official functions of the meeting was held at the National News Museum, which Paul said is VERY funky.  It includes bits of the antenna of the world trade centre, pieces of the Berlin wall, a helicopter in the foyer, a fully function news studio, and heaps of other bits and pieces.

Below, the TV studio....

The foyer, with helicopter!
Ahh, is my boy well trained or what.  The first commerical digital camera, a collaboration between Kodak and Nikon, the NC2000  :D
