New York city reflection study #010

Captured: September 2013

Photographed in New York, New York in September 2013. For me this piece symbolises the transition between day and night. The interplay between the dark blues of the night and the golden and red highlights of the dawn. Shot in Manhattan, W 48th Street, New York, near Time Square this particular vista can no longer be shot as another building now blocks the vista of the building façade. The image now symbolises the series capturing the transient natural of the man-made environment. This series is a unique sequence of forms, that only exist at a specific time, day of the year and location which is now obscured.
