20200819047 Karijini || Australia (Ltd. Edition)

from $760.00

Karijini National Park - A view from above. The park is the traditional home of the Banyjima, Kurrama and Innawonga Aboriginal people. The Banyjima name for the Hamersley Range is Karijini. Karijini means ‘hilly place’ in the local languages. The botany and geology of this place is just mythical and epic. Here in this evocative artwork you can see the water channels etching their way across the landscape as well as a rich diversity of plants. This artwork shows the amazing diversity of the plants, from tree’s, shrubs, bushes and grasses, and notice the circles in the grasses too. Noting the change in the soil from dark red to deep orange. Enjoy this stunning, unique and ancient landscape of Western Australia.
