Edition Information

Artworks are limited editions of 24 pieces unless otherwise stated.

Three sizes are available with each size being six editions and two artists proofs, with one of the artist proofs being retained by me.

Print Materials

Each artwork is created on high quality archival materials.

The artworks are either produced in studio or in production with my premium photography lab partner Fitzgerald Photo Imaging.

Fine art prints are available on Canson Infinity Edition Etching Rag Fine Art paper, or Alumalux, dye sublimation aluminium prints.

Canson® Infinity Edition Etching Rag is a 100% cotton Fine Art paper with a smooth texture, reminiscent of the original genuine etching and printmaking papers. The paper has the purest white tone available on the market, without any Optical Brightening Agents, also called OBAs. Optical Brightening Agents are artificial brighteners that deteriorate in time. Canson® Edition Etching Rag offers a high paper shade stability and a resistance to aging by using natural minerals.

This museum-grade paper provides deep blacks, excellent image sharpness, optimum colour graduation and its unique slight grain makes it ideal for printing detailed work, colour photographs and exceptional black and white portraits.

Alumalux, pronounced A-loo-ma-lux, is a stunning product that is the combination of Chromaluxe metal panels, Epson Inks and Fitzgerald Photo Imaging superior colour management practices.

We can infuse your print within aluminium, which then allows for a scratch resistant, water proof product that is super light weight. Your image will pack a punch with colour remaining vivid and details staying clear and crisp.

During the dye-sublimation process, the specifically formulated inks are infused into the metal panels, allowing for a scratch resistant, heat resistant and water proof product that is super light weight.

Displaying your artwork

To properly display and preserve your artwork, consider the following tips:

Display in areas away from extreme temperature. Avoid locating artwork in areas with direct air conditioning or heating systems. Sudden temperature fluctuations from hot to cold cause expansion and contraction of the framing materials, which can lead to structural damage.

Humidity can also affect the artwork. Optimally artworks should be kept at about 18-25 degrees C (65-77 degrees F), relative humidity 40%-45%.

Dust on a regular basis with a soft natural hair brush or soft cloth. It is recommend that a clean microfibre cloth and water can be used to clean the glass or alumalux surface.

Keep away from direct sunlight. Sunlight is very high in radiation (UV) which will cause the work of art to fade. The fading of pigments in the artwork can affect the natural colour of the image. Ideally, frame your artwork with UV protective glass.

Avoid positioning lights too close to the artwork. It is best to hang paintings in rooms with low levels of direct or artificial lighting. The best type of light for your painting is indirect sunlight, recessed lighting, or halogen lights (not ultraviolet).

Standard glass in frames can show room and window reflections. For the best result for your artwork request anti-UV and anti-reflective glass. Whilst more expensive the results means a protected and unobstructed view of your fine art piece.

Keep away from smoke, candles and fireplaces.

Consider insuring your artwork against theft and accidental damage. A small investment now could be invaluable in the future.

How to Handle and Hang Your Artwork

If you have an unframed artwork, please handle with care.

Use the supplied cotton gloves, and do not touch the surface of the artwork. The surface is delicate and will mark and absorb oils from ungloved hands.

Handling is a major cause of damage to artworks. Before handling an artwork, make sure you can move it safely.

When handling or moving your framed artwork, avoid touching or applying any pressure to the surface or the back of the artwork. Carry the artwork firmly with two hands from the sides of the frame or stretcher. Do not carry an artwork by the top of the frame, stretcher or by the hanging wire. If possible use clean, soft cotton gloves.

Always hang it in a safe place. An artwork should never be displayed where it runs the risk of being bumped or leaned against, or if you see signs of humidity or water leak on the wall.

Secure the artwork to walls using picture hanging hooks of the appropriate size for the weight of the painting. Hanger hooks should be nailed directly into a stud, or if your wall is concrete, you should use concrete plugs properly fastened into the wall to hang your artwork.

Framing can be done to enhance the visual effect of the artwork using archival, acid free materials that will not affect the artwork.

Procedure for hanging

Decide where you want to place the artwork by centering the artwork within the available wall space and considering the furniture size, lighting and environmental temperatures.

Calculate the proper height to hang your artwork by holding a tape measure vertically up to your wall from floor to ceiling. Make a small mark with a pencil on the wall equal to the height of the desire eye level; let’s say for instance 150 cm (include at least a 7 cm to 15 cm between the top of a sofa and the bottom of the work of art, or 10 to 20 cm from a table top).

Measure the height of the artwork to calculate the midpoint. For example, if it is 150 cm high, the midpoint is 75 cm from the bottom or top. This midway point is called the centerline.

Measure from the artwork centerline to the highest point of the stretched hanging wire or the sawtooth hanger (let’s suppose it is 12 cm). Add that distance (12 cm) to your eye level and make a mark . This is the center point where you want to install the hanger hook (for larger pieces you can install two hanger hooks that are equidistant from the center point.
